The Antioch Review, a small independent literary magazine founded in 1941 in a small town in the cornfields of Ohio, is one of the oldest, continuously publishing literary magazines in America. Publishing essays, fiction, and poetry from promising and prominent authors, the Antioch Review has an international readership and reputation of publishing the “best words in the best order” for over 75 years.

Contributions from readers, writers, and lovers of literature—like you—help keep our doors open. Your support is crucial to the Antioch Review’s ability to continue to publish the finest fiction, nonfiction, and poetry penned by writers from around the world.

There are several ways to support the Antioch Review:

COVER SOME OF OUR COSTS/EXPENSES:

  • Contribute at least $50 to help cover the costs of a published page CONTRIBUTE

  • Contribute at least $7500 to help cover the costs of an issue*  CONTRIBUTE

  • Contribute at least $100 to help cover conference/travel expenses*  CONTRIBUTE

*It is understood by contributors who make contributions toward helping to pay for the costs associated to a page, section, issue, cover, conference/travel, etc., that these contributions go in to our general contribution fund and that the use of the contribution will be determined solely by the Antioch Review.  It is further understood by the contributor that no editorial or other rights are/were conceded and that no goods or services were provided in return for the contribution(s).

Mandatory Retirement Account Distribution: Sometimes taking a mandatory distribution from your retirement account can result in being placed in a higher tax bracket. Consider giving all or a part of this distribution to support the Antioch Review Contribute to the “Antioch Review” :
